How do they do that? How do they know which colours is for them? That’s what I always ask myself when I see other women. What is ‘that‘ you may ask. That thing is makeup ladies and gentlemen.Yes, Makeup! As in maquillage, or the cosmetics used to enhance the appearance of a person. Am I the only one to realize how big of a deal that has become? Makeup and cosmetics are so popular today, to the extent that there has been a campaign, called #NoMakeupSelfie on social media to remind people that beauty does not reside in the amount of makeup one wears! I know, I was surprised too.
If you’re like me, you probably think all of this is great and you enjoy looking at those popular beauty gurus, the numerous YouTube tutorials, girls fixing their lips and cheeks on the bus and such. But you can’t fight that voice in the back of your head that says: ‘Psshh Nah, this is definitely not for me’.
After being tempted but friends and my sister particularly, I decided I was going to challenge myself and rock rouge lips for a day. Hah! You almost believed it. A couple hours I meant! A day is too long!
The usual me wears a little bit of foundation or powder – I’m not even sure which is what honestly – and some ‘black shadow’- if you may call it that way. I don’t know how to play around with all those cosmetics products. I don’t have a single clue of what the difference between Mac and Sephora is and neither do I wanna learn those things. #Stubborn
The other day, a friend of mine and I went for an adventure at Sephora – yes I meant an adventure. Since we had no idea what we were doing, we asked for help. The makeup artist then came to us and said:”Do you mind if I ask you what your skin type is?!” Sorry, my what? Oh so, there are different types of skin? Okay, I see!
So, I did try rocking a red lipstick and I must admit, I don’t like it, but I don’t hate it neither. It feels strange but it is probably one of those things you just get used to, right? I looked “not so much like” me. LOL! And it definitely feels strange too.
I’ve had my face beat up (had to use the appropriate language here!) before for a wedding and t’was great but to me, makeup is one of those things you like to see on others but you know for a fact aren’t made for you.I’m proud to have tried this lipstick and of course I don’t remember anything about it, besides the fact that I found it at Sephora, so don’t bother asking any questions related to it.
What about you? Are you a lover of makeup and cosmetics in general or are you just like me, a little lost in that world?
Lots of Love
-Dee-
I am definitely the same. Whenever I put make up( actually my friends do it, don’t know how hahahh ). I feel so strange and very uncomfortable ( everyone notice when I have make up on, not used to see with it) even though my friends think I should do it often..

First of all, la belle you look stunning 😍😍
Also the best thing about makeup is how you feel wearing it…
the key to lipstick is to find that “right” color for you
This Red really suits you, but red is very “osé” too for a person who is not used to wearing lipstick.
Always go for MAC for lipstick and try burgundy-purplish shades instead of red 😉
And also makeup is all in the “experience” you’re having while applying it! You’re not supposed to cover or hide( unless your skin is damaged) , but reveal and accentuate your beauty….
