Meet Duchesse!

Hayi, my name is Duchesse!

I am UMURUNDIKAZI (Burundi) born and raised and I happen to live in one of the coldest countries, Canada.
Here are 3 things that you may want to know about me and if you don’t…just read it anyways.

1. Reasons for blogging
Simple. I like to tell stories and connect with people. This blog is sometimes a way to structure my thoughts(and believe me my mind can quickly become a roller coaster)and to give more sense to it.
Also, I like to share my opinions and beliefs from time to time. Sharing is caring, right?

2. Languages I can speak
Yes, that is another thing, I can talk and write in Kirundi(my mother tongue), French and English. Most of my posts are in English, which is challenging since I started to write in English only two years ago.Again…bare with me if it is not sufficient.

3. What I do for fun
Again, simple: I just call my friends or spend hours texting with them. Quite boring right?I know…but ask my friends why they all deciding to live far from me. Seriously, though, I am what you would call an “indoorsy” (I just googled it.it apparently means someone who likes indoor activities, haha!)

Well, I think that is enough about me(at least for now πŸ™‚ ).I bet you don’t have any questions but if you do by any chance, just email me: iduchesseblog@gmail.com.

Till next time. I appreciate you!

      1. I lived in Burlington – we used to go to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake quite a lot growing up – I even went on dates there in high school! Now I live in the UK, just outside London – it does get quite cold here in winter, but nothing like the minus 40 degrees I experienced while living there! Still, it’s an amazing part of the world and I would love to go back for a visit one day πŸ™‚
